Employee Training Support
Many post-secondary educational institutions exist within the MSA including UNM, CNM, New Mexico Highlands University, and the University of Phoenix. CNM has developed a Workforce Training Center dedicated to helping businesses, professional organizations and government agencies develop and deliver training programs that increase productivity and profitability by providing customized innovative training and business consulting. The State of New Mexico offers job training assistance with the Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) and the NMDOL offers customized training through the Workforce Investment Act. Both programs offer up to a 50 percent reimbursement of training wages for eligible employees.
