  • NEW!!  The latest addition to the Central Business District (City Center)is a 77,000 square foot office and retail building of which the City of Rio Rancho will occupy 10,000 square feet. The building is expected to be complete by first quarter of 2008 or within 6-9 months of it being 60 percent leased. The remainder of the office building will be available for lease at a cost of $18 per square foot with triple net charges estimated at $6.00 per square foot.   • ACCRA Cost of Living Index Update - In the 1st Quarter of 2007, Rio Rancho's cost of living index was below the national base of 100, scoring at 93.1.
  • Update !! Under a much-publicized memorandum of understanding in August 2007, UNM and CNM, the State’s two largest postsecondary institutions, agreed to pool their resources and work together to establish a higher education campus in the City of Rio Rancho. Such a partnership will combine the best of both institutions at one Rio Rancho campus, conveniently located near the City's Central Business District. The partnership will unite the services of a nationally renowned research university with the expansive educational and workforce training capabilities of the state’s most comprehensive community college.
  • On the Lookout !! Fresenius Medical Care will anchor the 56,600 SF medical portion of the new Enchanted Hills Professional Center in northern Rio Rancho, which will encompass almost 100,000 SF of space upon completion. Fresenius Medical Care is a national leader in kidney dialysis. The project has broken ground and the medical plaza is expected to open in September 2007.
  • On the Lookout !! Rio Rancho's new City Hall opened August 2007 in the emerging Central Business District.
